Norwich City have made a move to try and sign Chelsea midfielder Kasey Palmer on loan, according to a report by Sky Sports.

The impressive youngster is a man in demand this summer as he looks to build on the success of his loan moves to Huddersfield and Derby County over the past couple of seasons.

Palmer, who was expected to cause a transfer scramble this summer following his return to the Bridge, impressed a whole host of onlooking coaches and scouts while in his first spell with Huddersfield, and he then went on to help the Terriers into the Premier League with a dramatic playoff win two years ago.

However, it now appears that it is Daniel Farke's Norwich who have made the first move for the big midfielder, who can play across the middle as both an attacking and defensive midfielder if needed.

Norwich had a poor season last term under German Farke, and he will be keen to make amends this summer and bring in plenty of new players to the ranks at Carrow Road.

Palmer, still only 21, has so far failed to make an impact for parent club Chelsea, but will reportedly not be allowed to leave until the future of manager Antonio Conte is sorted.
