Norwich City are reportedly interested in a deal to sign Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie according to the Daily Mail (via the Daily Record).

Christie has been a regular with Celtic over the years, since signing for the club back in 2015. He has made 44 appearances in all competitions for the Bhoys this term, in what has been a frustrating league campaign for the Scottish giants.

Christie has chipped in with seven goals and 14 assists this term, as Celtic lost their Scottish Premiership title to rivals Rangers, who remain unbeaten in this year's league campaign.

The Bhoys are currently sat second in the Scottish Premiership title, but find themselves 23 points adrift of the league-leaders, as they head into their final two matches this term.

A move to Norwich City could tempt Christie though, with Daniel Farke's side recently winning promotion into the Premier League.

The Canaries were crowned champions of the second-tier at the weekend, after running out comfortable 4-1 winners over Reading at Carrow Road.

It is claimed by the Daily Mail that both Burnley and the Canaries are keen on a deal to sign Christie, who is contracted with Celtic until January 2022.

Christie and his Celtic team-mates are set to return to action on Wednesday 12th May, when they take on St. Johnstone, where they'll fancy their chances of picking up three points.

The Verdict:

He could prove to be a good addition to the Norwich City team.

The Canaries are going to need additional depth in their squad heading into the 2021/22 season, where they'll be preparing for life back in the Premier League.

Christie has endured a frustrating campaign with Celtic this season, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was tempted by a move elsewhere heading into the summer transfer window.

The prospect of playing Premier League football is likely to tempt any player, and it'll be interesting to see if Norwich submit a formal offer for the midfielder.
