Norwich City launch ambitious raid to bring Crystal Palace playmaker back to Championship

Crystal Palace midfielder Jordan Mutch is receiving attention from Sky Bet Championship side Norwich City, according to the Sun (via Shields Gazette).

The former Cardiff man hasn’t had the most successful spell of his career with Palace as he has only managed 11 Premier League starts for the Eagles.

The 24-year-old midfielder has plenty of Championship experience to his name, making just under 90 appearances in the second tier, for many different clubs including Cardiff City, where he also had an impressive season in the top flight.

Since his £6 million move to Queens Park Rangers in the summer of 2014, his career seems to have come to somewhat of a standstill.

The Canaries, who were relegated to the Championship last season, will be hoping to build a strong squad to give them the greatest chance of achieving their aim – returning to the Premier League.

A lack of creativity in the final third was a sewing motif for the East Anglian outfit amid their relegation, highlighting the need for more dynamic options in attacking positions.

Can Mutch kickstart his career at Carrow Road?
