Norwich City have joined the list of clubs chasing Blackburn Rovers defender Grant Hanley, according to a report from The Express.
The 24-year-old has been attracting interest from a host of other clubs, with the likes of Sheffield Wednesday and Newcastle United also interested in acquiring the services of the centre-back.
The Scottish international is contracted at Ewood Park until the summer of 2018, therefore Blackburn are likely to be reluctant to let him go for a small fee.
Norwich have links with the defender as well, as new coach at the club Alan Irvine worked with Hanley during his time at Blackburn.
This could be an important factor for Hanley when he decides his future, as he could be the man to put Norwich’s defensive woes behind them.
It was definitely a position they were lacking class in their relegation from the Premier League, and will need to address that frailty if they want an immediate return to the top-flight.
Norwich fans… what do you think about this development? Is Hanley the right man to command your defence? Is the money acquired from selling Redmond being spent wisely? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
