Phil Hay, the Yorkshire Evening Post’s chief football writer has revealed on Twitter that Norwich City are interested in Leeds United winger Stuart Dallas.

The tweet goes on to reveal that the Northern Irishman looks to be part of Thomas Christiansen’s plans this season at Leeds but also gives a gentle reminder that Dallas’ contract expires next year.

The 26-year-old played 31 times for United in the league last season, scoring twice and providing three assists in the process.

This season Dallas has already got one goal to his name in the league along with two assists in two games in the Carabao Cup.

Norwich’s interest comes just days after the winger revealed that he is determined to have a good season for Leeds United during the 2017/18 campaign, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post.

With just one week left of the transfer window, Norwich may have to work fast to get their target or could wait one year for the player’s contract to run out if Christiansen decides not to renew it.

The Verdict

With the size of United’s squad now it isn’t a surprise that Dallas is determined to have a good season.

He’s at risk of falling very far down the pecking order if he doesn’t.

Here at FLW, we expect Leeds to keep hold of their player for the time being but only time will tell if Dallas earns himself a contract extension.

Plenty of attacking players have joined the club this summer so now more than ever is an important time for the winger to get his head down and get the job done.
