Norwich City are one of a number of clubs interested in signing 19-year-old Roma midfielder Ebrima Darboe, a report from 90Min has claimed.

Darboe has enjoyed a landmark campaign this season, making his debut for Roma in both Serie A and the Europa League.

In total, the teenager has made six first-team appearances in all competitions, and it now seems as though he is starting to attract plenty of attention from England.

According to this latest update, Championship title winners Norwich are battling Premier League sides such as West Ham, Brighton, Crystal Palace and Southampton for his signature.

Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool are also said to be interested in the teenager.

However, it is thought that Darboe is aware he would be unlikely to get much game time for one of those bigger clubs - part of the reason he could be open to a move this summer - which could open things up for the likes of Norwich in their pursuit of Darboe.

As things stand, there are two years remaining on Darboe's current contract with Roma, securing his future at the club until the summer of 2023.

The Verdict

This could be a decent signing for Norwich if they are able to pull it off.

The Canaries look set to see a rather significant player turnover in the centre of their midfield this summer, with Alex Tettey leaving following the expiry of his contract, and Oliver Skipp's loan from Tottenham now over.

As a result, they could benefit from adding to their ranks in that position, and Darboe is someone who would help them to do that.

Indeed, the teenager does seem to have impressed for Roma this season, meaning he could be a more useful addition for Norwich, and given the amount of interest in the teenager, it would be something of a coup if they get him.
