Norwich City are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Turkish international Yusuf Yazici from Trabzonspor, according to Sabah Spor.

The 21-year-old's rise through Turkish football has been impressive, having started in the club's academy system at the age of 11, he has gone on to feature for the first-team on a regular basis.

Yazici has also made ten appearances for the Turkish national side, which certainly shows that he is rated highly and it won't come as a surprise to see him attracting interest this month.

The Turkish media outlet claim that a deal is yet to be agreed between the two sides, but the youngster is tempted by the prospect of potentially playing Premier League football in the near future.

Norwich have emerged as surprise promotion contenders this season and are currently sat second in the Championship table, with many fans now dreaming of a return to the top flight.

If the Canaries were to land the signing of Yazici, it would only strengthen their already impressive attacking options this season, with the likes of Emiliano Buendia and Teemu Pukki hugely impressive in this year's campaign.

The Verdict

This would be a fantastic addition to Daniel Farke's side.

Yazici has been making a name for himself over in Turkey and is one of the brightest prospects to break into the national team recently.

If he can continue his impressive development, then he could play a starring role in firing Norwich into the Premier League this season.
