Norwich City face fight to keep Swedish international defender amid interest from Turkey

According to an exclusive report from the Turkish news outlet Sporx, Turkish champions Besiktas are plotting a move for Norwich City’s Martin Olsson.

Şenol Güneş, Besiktas’ manager has identified the left-back spot as a position that needs strengthening as Besiktas looks to build on their title success and prepare for Champions League football next season.

Having compiled a short list that includes the likes of Manchester City’s Aleksander Kolarov, a surprise inclusion on the list is Olsson.

Although Fikret Forest, Besiktas’ President is keen on Aleksander Kolarov, Olsson may be the most realistic option.

Norwich City’s relegation is likely to see not only Premier League sides but teams across Europe attempt to raid Alex Neil’s side for the prize assets.

It is yet to be seen if Besiktas’s interest will now materialise because of Sweden’s swift departure from the European Championships but Norwich City will be wary about selling their prize assets.

Norwich City fans, how do you feel about the news? Would you be disappointed to see Martin Olsson leave? How much do you think he is worth? Who would you like to see come in to replace him if he was to leave? Let us hear your thoughts and opinions in the comment section below!
