According to Press Association Sport via ITV Sport, Norwich City are lining up a move for Huddersfield Town man Stuart Webber as they look to appoint a Sporting Director.

As part of a new restructuring of the backroom staff, Norwich City have created a new Sporting Director role with Stuart Webber being identified as a possible target.

Webber is currently the Head of Football Operations at Norwich’s promotion rivals Huddersfield Town.

The 33-year-old has plenty of experience in football, having previously worked as Director of Recruitment at Liverpool and he helped bring teenager Raheem Sterling – who has established himself as a regular in the England national team – to Anfield.

Webber has also snapped up plenty of talent whilst at Huddersfield to help spearhead their promotion push this campaign.

Norwich apparently want to appoint a new Sporting Director and one of his first responsibilities would be to appoint a new Head Coach, after Alex Neil was sacked earlier this month.

Norwich fans – would you like to appoint Webber in this role? Will this restructure work? Let us know in the comments below…
