Wolves winger Ben Marshall is close to switching to Norwich City, where he is currently the subject of a medical, according to Michael Bailey of the Eastern Daily Press.

Marshall had been a target for Championship rivals Millwall, the club he spent a successful loan spell with last season, but it looks as though Daniel Farke has beaten Neil Harris to the 27-year old.

In his tweet Bailey said that as far as he's is aware, the deal could go through soon; "From what I've heard - and I know it's been about elsewhere - he's at Norwich City for a medical. If that goes well, he should sign."

Marshall spent his youth career at Manchester United and Crewe before moving to Stoke City. Spells at Blackburn and Leicester were followed by a £1.2m move to Wolves in January 2017.

After just 22 outings for the Molineux side, he was out on loan with Millwall. He made 16 starts, scoring three times as the Lions almost roared into the Championship top six.

They've been chasing a permanent move ever since, even putting a bid in four days ago, but Norwich now look poised to secure the deal.

The Verdict

Millwall fans will be gutted at this news, Marshall was a top summer target of theirs after impressing last season.

Norwich fans need some good news though, they've lost a couple of their big stars and Marshall arriving will at least placate them for now.
