Norwich City manager Daniel Farke today revealed that winger Onel Hernandez will be out for the next three matches, as reported by the club's twitter.

The 25-year-old signed for the Canaries in January, moving from Eintracht Braunschweig, however he requires an operation on a hernia problem which will mean he faces a spell on the sidelines.

Hernandez has been Norwich's stand out player so far this season scoring twice and assisting three more during their shaky start to the season.

He has impressed with his pace and dribbling ability, with Hernandez a positive player in Farke's team.

It is likely that Mario Vrancic will replace the Cuban born winger tomorrow night having come off the bench to replace fellow winger Emiliano Buendia on Saturday.

Farke's side currently sit 16th in the Championship table with only eight points but come into Wednesday night's game against Reading off the back of an impressive 1-0 win at home to Middlesbrough on Saturday.

The Verdict

This is a massive blow to the Canaries as the quick winger has been an important player so far this season.

Hernandez has looked very good in the opening weeks so to lose him for three games could have a big impact and they don't really have a similad quality player to come in.

It will also significantly diminish the effect that strikers Teemu Pukki and Jordan Rhodes can have as the service they receive will be significantly reduced.

Thoughts, Norwich fans? How big a loss will Hernandez be? Let us know in the comments below.
