Sky Bet Championship leaders Norwich City are among a host of high-profile clubs lining up a move for Leyton Orient defender Dan Happe, according to reports from The Sun.

The left-sided centre-half has really impressed for the National League leaders this season, making 12 league appearances and helping Justin Edinburgh's men climb to the summit of the table this season.

As a result of his impressive form for the O's, the 20-year old was recently called up to the England C squad for the first time, and was also awarded the club's Player of the Month award for both January and February.

But the London club could well be resigned to losing their talented youngster, with reports claiming that Norwich have joined Premier League sides Wolves and Brighton and Hove Albion in pursuit of the defender.

Former Orient boss Steve Davis currently works for Wolves, therefore will be no stranger to the defender, who may cost around £200,000 in the summer.

Norwich continue to lead the way in the second tier, and currently sit five points clear of Leeds United in 3rd spot.

The Verdict

It was only a matter of time before teams of this calibre came calling for Happe, he is a fantastic talent.

Having watched him play on more than one occasion, he is a fantastic defender who is very comfortable at playing the ball from out the back, therefore would fit perfectly into Farke's plans.

A potential Ben Godfrey replacement? Who knows? £200,000 would be an absolute bargain for the youngster.
