Any talks over a potential deal that could see Hull City winger Robbie Brady move to newly promoted Premier League side Norwich City, have reached an impasse, according to the Hull Daily Mail.

It seems the former Manchester United winger, who starred in a midfield three for a Hull City side victorious away at the Proact Stadium against Chesterfield just last night, for the time being will remain with the Tigers.

The winger played unusually as part of a Hull City midfield three, linking up well with wing back Andrew Robertson and showed no signs of being a man with his mind elsewhere throughout his 65 minutes of playing time.

Brady has been subject to heavy interest from the Championship play-off victors Norwich City, who have swapped divisions with Hull City following their fate being sealed on the final day of the Premier League season.

Hull City boss Steve Bruce has seemed somewhat insulted by the 'ridiculous' offers on the table for Brady in recent weeks, with the highest bid thus far supposedly reaching as high as £6m for the wide man.

Judging by the attitude of Bruce, who himself is rumoured to be considering his own future given a lack of backing in the transfer market in this close season, it seems there would need to be a considerable increase in the amount being offered by the Canaries if Robbie Brady is to be allowed to make the switch to Carrow Road for the forthcoming campaign.

Norwich are clearly looking to bolster their squad with some Premier League experience for their first year back in the top flight after bouncing back from the Championship at the first time of asking, having already signed midfielders Graham Dorrans and Youssouf Mulumbu, both previously of Premier League side West Bromwich Albion.

It seems for now there will be no change in stance from Hull City, who remain hopeful of keeping the talented Brady with the aim of making an immediate return to the top flight.
