Norwich City and Brighton and Hove Albion have been linked with a move for FK Haugesund captain, William Troost-Ekong, according to Dutch outlet Voetbal International via the Eastern Daily Press.
The Nigerian international began his career at Tottenham Hotspur, but failed to make an appearance in his two year stint in England leading to his move to Holland.
In Holland, the powerful centre-half impressed for both Groningen and also when he went out on loan to FC Dordrecht where he made 32 appearances.
The Nigerian defender has spent the most recent season on loan in Denmark with FK Haugesund on loan from Gent and this is where he has attracted the attention of not only Norwich City, but also Swansea City, Crystal Palace and Brighton and Hove Albion due to his superb performances.
It has been reported that Alex Neil’s Norwich City have made an enquiry about potential signing Troost-Ekong, however, Norwich City is facing fierce competition from within England as well in continental Europe.
