Premier League duo Norwich City and AFC Bournemouth are weighing up a January bid for Cardiff City winger Craig Noone, a source close to the player has informed Football League World.

Both clubs achieved promotion from the Championship last season and will have the chance to bolster their squads in January, in an attempt for Premier League survival.

Noone, who has experience in the Premier League with Cardiff is a target for both clubs, with the wide man a player that could give something different to both squads.

AFC Bournemouth have been injury stricken this season particularly in wide areas with Max Gradel and Christian Atsu suffering long term injuries.

Eddie Howe has been restricted to fairly limited options at times, and undoubtedly needs to invest into the squad in January to help their hopes of remaining in the top-flight.

Noone, who is 28, would provide a different dimension for Bournemouth and could be a signing, that will propel Bournemouth away from the relegation zone.

FLW have been informed that Norwich are also interested, with themselves desperate to avoid the drop.

The Canaries did not splash the cash like Bournemouth did in the summer, so funds should be available for manager Alex Neil to utilise in January.

Noone could provide competition for places in wide areas with the club already possessing ability with the likes of Robbie Brady and Nathan Redmond in the squad.

It's unsure what Cardiff's stance is on selling the player however, the club will surely want to hold on to all their key players with the club sitting just two points off the play-off places after 18 games.
