Norwich City are closing in on the signing of Rochdale midfielder Daniel Adshead, according to Football Insider.
The 17-year-old is regarded as one of the brightest young talents in the EFL and made 25 appearances for Rochdale last season since breaking into the first-team two seasons ago.
The attacking midfielder scored one goal in 16 appearances for Rochdale last season and Football Insider claim that he has been linked with a move to the Premier League in the past.
Norwich boss Daniel Farke was able to guide the Canaries to the Championship tight last season by recruiting smartly and giving young players a chance and it seems he is going to continue that way in the top flight.
This could be a very good signing for Norwich. Adshead is regarded as one of the most talented young players in the EFL and he could have a bright future ahead of him.
I’m sure Rochdale will be very reluctant to lose a player with so much potential, but Adshead seems destined for bigger and better things and I’m sure they expected this to happen sooner or later.
The 17-year-old has attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham and you don’t attract interest from those sorts of clubs unless you’re a very good player.
He could be a great signing for Norwich and is definitely one to watch out for in the future.
