Norwich have appointed academy manager Ricky Martin as technical director this week.
Martin Joined Norwich City in 2001 and became academy manager three years later. This is not the only move the Canaries have made to ensure that manager Neil Adams has the best support network, they have also recruited ex Fulham chief, Barry Simmonds to their executive board.
After being relegated back to the Sky Bet championship Norwich are preparing a swift return to the top: “We will be working very closely together on the football executive board to achieve our objective of getting Norwich City back to the Premier League,” the chief executive told the club’s official site.
“Ricky fully deserves his promotion to the key role of technical director and Barry brings invaluable experience in the field of scouting and recruitment into the mix. It’s all about doing everything we can to ensure Neil Adams, his staff and the squad have dynamic and effective support in all they do and that all they need is provided to the highest professional standards.”
Norwich start their path back to the Premier league at newly promoted Wolves on the 10th of August.
