Norwich City are chasing Arsenal defender Ignasi Miquel reports EDP24. 

Norwich have made an offer for the Spanish defender, who is in his last year of his contract. The Canaries hope to have the deal wrapped up within the next 48 hours.

Miquel is not seen as even a squad player at Arsenal so it's doubtful that they'll stand in Miquel's way and let him move to Norwich.

The central defender, who can also play left back, made his Premier League debut for the Gunners in August 2011 and since then has made five league appearances. He has also made  eight League Cup appearances and a solitary Champions League appearance.

Last season Miquel was sent out on loan to Leicester where he made seven league appearances as Leicester stormed to the Championship title.
