Noel Whelan has stated that no player has improved more than Stuart Dallas at Leeds United.

Dallas was impressive once again for Northern Ireland as they managed to earn a brilliant point against a very strong Holland side.

The former midfielder is currently plying his trade as a right-back and has been thoroughly impressive since Marcelo Bielsa took over at Leeds.

He is one of the most versatile players in the division and even managed to play left-back in the Whites' latest victory over Blackburn last Saturday.

Leeds are sitting in 3rd place after a fairly solid start to the campaign, and will be excited about the future as they look to fulfil their ambition of promotion to the Premier League.

Whelan has expressed that Dallas is one of the most improved players in the Whites side especially when it comes to defending one on ones.

Speaking to BBC Radio Leeds, Whelan said: "I think he's one of the most improved players that we have in the squad and the way he's adapted to that right wing-back role, now left wing-back role.

"I think there's no better player or more improved player out there on the field, especially when it comes to defending and one on ones."

The Verdict

It's set to be a thrilling season for Leeds, and they'll need Dallas fully fit for the remainder of the campaign, as he's been so crucial especially in covering positions where the Whites have lacked replacements.

He has been a revelation at full-back and has the ability to bomb forward throughout different games and his fitness plays a key part in why he has been so impressive throughout.

Keeping Dallas fit and in the lineup will be a pivotal part of whether Leeds can get promotion to the top-flight. He's probably one of the more underrated players at the club and that can only be applauded.
