It was a difficult night for Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, as they suffered a 2-0 defeat to early season Championship promotion contenders Bournemouth at The Vitality Stadium.

There were only three minutes on the clock when Bournemouth took the lead through Junior Stanislas after a pinpoint through ball from David Brooks.

The hosts would then double their lead not long after half time, with Junior Stanislas scoring from the penalty spot after Dominic Solanke was fouled by Jack Colback inside the Forest area, and that was enough to seal all three points for Jason Tindall's side.

That results means that have now suffered back to back 2-0 defeats, and sit 20th in the Championship table, just three points clear of the relegation zone.

Despite that, it seems that Chris Hughton remains encouraged by what he saw from his side against the Cherries, as speaking after the game, the Forest boss was quoted by BBC Nottinghamshire as saying: “We just hope that we can turn this. I can’t fault what the players put in today. They worked hard and tried to get back into the game. Bournemouth just showed that little bit more quality in the areas that mattered, hence the goals that they got.”

Not surprisingly, that is something that attracted plenty of attention and reaction from Forest fans as they took to Twitter to give their thoughts on the events of last night.

Here, we take a look at what some of those supporters had to say about Hughton's comments.
