Norwich City and Rotherham have both been charged by the FA after the melee that broke out in their recent Championship clash.
The FA have today issued a statement following City’s recent Sky Bet Championship game against Rotherham.

The Canaries won the game 2-1 but that didn’t tell the whole story in what was a dramatic afternoon. Paul Warne’s side took the lead early on through Freddie Ladapo and he missed a penalty shortly after.
In the second half, the visitors equalised and minutes later Angus MacDonald was sent off for an awful lunge on Oliver Skipp, which prompted both sets of players to get involved.
And, the club confirmed on their website that they had been charged by the FA for the conduct of the players.
“It is alleged that both clubs failed to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the 70th minute of the fixture.”
Given how poor the tackle was, it’s fair to say that the Norwich City fans are not pleased that their players are being punished for their reaction.
Here we look at some of the comments from Twitter…
So we’ve been charged as we were angry over a potential career ending tackle. Ok then

So our players aren’t allowed to defend a player who just got taken out.?

The replay clearly shows our coaching staff breaking it all up. Can’t see how that is failing to control!?
