Derby County play host to arch rivals Nottingham Forest at Pride Park in the first East Midlands derby of the season.

Rams boss Gary Rowett has a number of selection headaches, and one that often causes dilemmas for Derby is who to start in the striker role.

Nugent? Winnall? Vydra? Martin? There are so many options.

Is it time that Sam Winnall, the man on loan from Sheffield Wednesday, was handed a start in this massive encounter on Sunday?

The writers here at FLW have had their say....

Chris Gallagher

No way.

Chris Martin came on against Cardiff and Derby improved massively after the break, so you have to reward him for that.

Although, Gary Rowett needs to give one of his strikers a consistent run in the team as all the changing is not helping them or the team. If Winnall is his man, stick with him, but it seems unlikely he will get the nod after getting hooked at half-time in Wales.

Adam Simeoni

I'd try something different.

The strong central defensive pairing of Worrall and Mancienne could bully the Wednesday loanee out of the game, so the presence of Chris Martin could cause more problems for the Forest back-line.

Rowett hasn't played two up top much this year, but Winnall could feature alongside the Scot if this is the case.

Alfie Burns

Gary Rowett faces a tough call on Winnall, with the absence of Bradley Johnson meaning Derby will have to reshuffle their attacking players.

Matej Vydra will expect to come back in against Nottingham Forest, and Rowett also has the option to reintroduce Chris Martin or David Nugent.

Winnall has a great work ethic, and with Vydra likely to replace Johnson in the number 10 role, the striker should start, as his energy at the top of the field could set the tone for Derby.

George Dagless

It wouldn't be a shock.

Gary Rowett has rotate his main striker position this season but he needs to settle on one and stick with it.

So far Winnall has been probably the brightest option with Matej Vydra playing in behind and that's the front-line I expect to see the Rams go with at Pride Park on Sunday.
