Many Nottingham Forest supporters have been suggesting that the Reds should try and keep hold of Chema, with the defender thought to be close to securing a move to Spanish club UD Almeria, according to AS.

Chema has only made eight appearances for the Reds in the Championship so far this campaign, having found himself behind the likes of Michael Dawson, Joe Worrall and Tobias Figueiredo ahead of him in the pecking order at the heart of Forest's defence.

However, the defender has been given the chance to come into the starting line-up at left-back during the last few matches by Sabri Lamouchi, and the 27-year-old has produced some effective performances down the left-hand side of the Reds' defence in the last few matches.

That could make Lamouchi reluctant to lose Chema this month, but after finding it difficult to force his way into the Reds starting line-up on a consistent basis since the summer, the defender could be wanting to return to his native Spain to secure regular game time in his more natural centre half position.

If Chema's preference is to return to Spain this month, then Forest might find it difficult to convince him to remain at the City Ground this month, but Lamouchi's side would likely need to find a replacement if he were to leave the club before the end of the window.

Here then, we take a look at what Forest supporters have been saying about the prospect of losing Chema this month...
