Luton Town are leading the way in League One under the guidance of caretaker manager Mick Harford, currently eight points clear of second placed Barnsley with only a handful of matches remaining.

Despite Luton performing so well, their form has not given many chances to Nottingham Forest striker Jason Cummings, who has only made three appearances.

The forward scored a crucial equaliser for the Hatters in their 2-2 draw with Blackpool on Saturday, though whether that will be enough to convince Luton to sign him permanently is uncertain.

So should Luton be pushing to sign Cummings on a permanent deal in the summer?

We discuss..........

Gary Hutchinson

“No, they don’t need him.

“They’ve got Collins, Hylton and Lee, although Hylton will likely leave this summer.

“Still, there’s better than Cummings.

“He’s got one goal, he’s not exactly tore the division up, has he?”

Louie Chandler

"I wouldn't.

"Cummings has proven he can be a great player in League One, but his inconsistency and off-field antics pose too much of a problem.

"Luton should be more ambitious if they're promoted."

Alfie Burns

“This is a tough one for Luton.

“Cummings didn’t impress for Nottingham Forest in the Championship, and if Luton get there themselves, surely they are going to want more established forwards.

“I wouldn’t be getting too far ahead of myself about Cummings if I was at Luton.”
