Sheffield United defender George Baldock has emerged as a transfer target for Celtic, according to the Daily Record.

The Hoops are said to be on the lookout for reinforcements at right-back, with Ange Postecoglou eyeing up potential targets.

According to the Daily Record, Baldock is back on Celtic’s radar and is high up on their list, having monitored the 28-year-old a couple of years ago.

Celtic are said to be focused on acquiring British talent this summer, and in that respect, the addition of Baldock would make sense.

Baldock has made 139 appearances for United since arriving from MK Dons in the summer of 2017, and penned a new four-year deal at Bramall Lane in December.

The right-back made 32 appearances in the Premier League last season, and is likely to be a key player for the Blades as they prepare to embark on life back in the Championship.
