Barry Bannan has sent a message to fans after Sheffield Wednesday’s 2-1 comeback win against Brentford, which has been well received by many Owls supporters.

It always looked as if it would be a stern test for Garry Monk’s side on Saturday as their opponents arrived in Yorkshire with three wins in their last four games and on the back of hammering Luton Town 7-0.

Bryan Mbeumbo nodded in a corner just before the half-hour mark to give the visitors a first-half lead.

However, two goals in four minutes from striker Steven Fletcher helped to turn the game around at Hillsborough and ensure that the three points stayed in South Yorkshire.
