Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa is not sitting on his laurels and is seemingly making plans for next season, with Liam Lindsay of Barnsley a potential target according to a report in the Daily Star.

The 23-year-old defender has been in excellent form this season for Daniel Stendel's side, helping them to the verge of promotion to the Championship this season.

But would Lindsay have any chance of getting into Leeds' current starting XI?

We discuss.........

Jacob Potter

"He definitely wouldn’t be a regular starter.

"There’s no doubting that Lindsay is a good defender, but if Leeds are to win promotion this season, then I can’t see him getting the game time he needs.

"He would be used on a rotational basis at best by Bielsa if he signed for the Whites."

Gary Hutchinson

“No, sadly not.

“He’s going to be a top, top player.

“But right now, he doesn’t get a start at Leeds.

“Not ahead of Cooper and Jansson.”

Jay Taylor

“I can’t see how you can take Cooper and Jansson out of the team.

“So, based on that, I can’t see how he gets in the side at present.

"A solid squad player to be on the bench, but I think a move to Elland Road could be a move too soon – he wouldn’t trouble the two main men at present.”
