Blackburn Rovers have made a very good start to life back in the Championship and Tony Mowbray has received plenty of plaudits for the way his side have adapted this year.  

A recent slump in form had asked some questions, but Rovers bounced back with a 4-2 victory over Sheffield Wednesday last time out, which definitely brought the feel-good factor back to Ewood Park.

However, there’s a testing run on the horizon for Mowbray’s side, with Blackburn perhaps having the toughest December in the entire Championship.

Next up is a trip to Middlesbrough, whilst after Christmas Blackburn will also travel to Leeds and Sheffield United. Sandwiched between those three away games are home fixtures against Birmingham City and Norwich City, two other in-form Championship sides.

The festive period does shape how the Championship table usually finishes, as some of Blackburn’s fans seem well aware.
