Plenty of Lincoln City fans have taken to social media to react to the news that Danny Cowley is set to leave the club to become the next manager of Huddersfield Town.

The Mirror are reporting that Cowley has agreed to become the next manager at the John Smith's Stadium, after a hugely successful spell with the Imps, where he guided the club to two promotions in three seasons alongside his brother Nicky.

Although Cowley was reluctant to walk out on Sincil Bank, Huddersfield chairman Phil Hodgkinson was able to persuade him over the weekend.

Huddersfield are still without a win this season and have been searching for a new manager since head coach Jan Siewert was sacked last month, just four matches into the new campaign.

Siewert took charge of the Terriers earlier this year, but was unable to save the club from relegation from the Premier League last season and left the club with a record of just one win from his 19 matches in charge.

Former Huddersfield captain Mark Hudson is currently in caretaker charge at the John Smith's Stadium, but has lost all of his three matches in temporary charge so far.

Plenty of Lincoln fans have taken to social media to react to the news and to speculate as to who the club could appoint to replace Cowley, with former Hull City boss Nigel Adkins among the names to be mentioned.
