‘No issue with that’ – Many Sunderland fans react as player edges closer to sealing exit

Many Sunderland fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that defender Denver Hume is edging closer to sealing a permanent exit from the club.
According to Football Insider, Hume is set to undergo a medical at Portsmouth after the Black Cats reached an agreement with their League One rivals.
Hume was not included in Sunderland’s match-day squad for their meeting with Pompey last weekend amid speculation surrounding his future.
In the absence of Hume, Lee Johnson’s side managed to seal a 1-0 victory over Portsmouth thanks to a goal from Elliot Embleton.
Following the culmination of the previous campaign, the left-back let his previous contract at the Stadium of Light expire before signing a two-year deal with the club in September.
Hume has failed to establish himself as a key player for the Black Cats this season as he has been limited to eight appearances in all competitions.
Currently behind Dennis Cirkin in the pecking order at Sunderland, the 23-year-old is now seemingly set to move on pastures new.
After journalist Pete O’Rourke shared the latest update on Hume’s future on Twitter, many Sunderland fans offered their thoughts on the social media platform.

Giving him a new contract was the single worst thing the owners have done. We all knew he wasn’t good enough, he held the club to ransom. Now they’ve realised he’s awful and has no future here. Feel for Pompey fans, you’re about to witness the worst left back ever to make it pro. https://t.co/kpwD4MC38h

Good luck to the lad. Came through the academy but ultimately wasn't good enough. https://t.co/2YeKsj61Fo

No issue with that. Never kicked on after breaking into team for various reasons. But we need cover https://t.co/3hQPhEDVYc
