Sheffield Wednesday will be hoping to embark on a new chapter in the club’s history next season under Garry Monk.  

Monk inherited a squad stinking of past failures, with Carlos Carvalhal’s stamp still very much on the Hillsborough personnel.

And, it seems that more mid-table woe is facing Wednesday this season, which will lead them into a key summer, where Monk will put to put his own stamp on the squad.

Amongst those out of contract is Kieran Lee, with the long-serving midfielder’s future causing plenty of debate.

Whilst his class can’t be questioned, he’s injury prone and not the player he once was.

Nevertheless, some fans want to see him extend his stay, putting the injuries and age of the 31-year-old to the back of their minds.

On the other hand, plenty of Wednesday fans feel now is the time to cut ties with their once untouchable midfield hero.
