Swansea City still have to find a managerial replacement following the departure of Graham Potter to Brighton, but any new manager are likely to have to prepare for next season without star winger Dan James, amid continued speculation that a deal with Manchester United is imminent.

James is expected to be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first signing of the summer and a deal is likely to be finalised swiftly, with United aware of interest from AS Monaco in the 21-year-old.

With all this in mind, do you think James is good enough for the Premier League at this moment in time?

We discuss........

Ben Lang

"I don't think he's quite ready for the PL at the moment, and he should be loaned out for next season.

"He needs to be playing regular football and I can't see him getting that at United despite is undeniable quality.

"A move back to the Championship would be beneficial and he can then make an even bigger impact further down the line."

Kealan Hughes

"He might be good enough for the Premier League, but I'm not sure he will be good enough for Man Utd. right now.

"He would however offer them something different. He has devastating pace and that could prove very effective from the bench against tired defences.

"James has a lot to improve on but Solskjaer has shown he is willing to work with and play young players, so James should improve under his guidance.

Louie Chandler

"I think he is.

"The pace he has at his disposal is ridiculous and would make him a threat at any level of the game.

"There will always be doubt and in this instance they are fair enough, but I think James is the real deal."

Gary Hutchinson

“No, he's not ready.

“I didn’t see anything that made me jump up and take note last season.

“He’s potential, that’s what they’re paying for. Mind you, Ryan Giggs has seen him first hand and part of United’s interest is, I believe, based on that.

“He’s going to know a wide player’s potential a little better than I am.”

Jacob Potter

"He’s not the answer to their problems.

"James is a bright prospect, but there’s such a difference in quality between the Championship and the Premier League.

"He wouldn’t start for Man United and his talent would be wasted if he signed for the Red Devils in the summer."
