Sunderland fell to yet another defeat as they were beaten 2-1 by Burton Albion on Tuesday evening at the Stadium of Light.

It means that Phil Parkinson still only has two wins to his name since taking charge of the Black Cats earlier this season, which will make concerning reading for supporters.

Sunderland took the lead on the day with Aiden McGeady firing home from the penalty spot, but that lead didn't last long at all.

Ryan Edwards responded just seconds later to bring the scores level, before Liam Boyce hit the winner with just over 20 minutes remaining.

The result leaves Sunderland sat 11th in the League One table, and Parkinson will know that positive results have to come quickly, otherwise his days could be numbered at the club.
