Watford will be looking to put a disappointing performance away at West Brom behind them tonight when they welcome Burnley to Vicarage Road.

Although the Hornets earned a respectable draw at The Hawthorns on Monday night, they were by far second best throughout the match, with Ismaila Sarr's wonder strike from inside his own half, and keeper Daniel Bachmann the only positives on the night.

Having said that, two games into the season, Hornets boss Rob Edwards has four points on the board - a return he surely would have taken if offered to him before a ball was kicked.

With Burnley set to provide another stern test this evening, here, we've predicted the XI we think the Hornets boss could opt for against the Clarets.

Watford's predicted XI to face Burnley on Friday night.
Hamza Choudhury could make his Hornets debut this evening after joining on loan from Leicester City.

After some crucial saves on Monday night, Daniel Bachmann will remain in goal barring any injury.

In front of him, though, there could be a change. Francisco Sierralta left the field with an injury on Monday night, and if it is bad enough to keep him out this evening, William Troost-Ekong could get the nod at the heart of the three.

Either side of him will likely be Craig Cathcart and Christian Kabasele.

Mario Gaspar made his debut on Monday night, but whether or not he is ready to start remains to be seen, the sooner he is, Kamara can go to his more natural position at LWB, but for now, Sema starts there, with Kamara a square peg in a round hole on the right hand side.

With Watford having played a sort of 5-2-3 system to accomodate Emmanuel Dennis, Ismaila Sarr and Joao Pedro in their opening two matches, Edwards could revert to a three man midfield in this one.

West Brom played through the duo of Edo Kayembe and Tom Cleverley with ease on Monday, and despite only signing a few days ago, Leicester loanee Hamza Choudhury could be chucked right in due to injuries to the likes of Tom Dele-Bashiru and Imran Louza.

With Dennis seemingly set to join Nottingham Forest, he is unlikely to play any part this evening, so a front two consisting of Joao Pedro and Ismaila Sarr should start the match, despite Sarr being more of a natural winger.

Kick off between Watford and Burnley is scheduled for 8pm this evening.
