Nottingham Forest are preparing for a difficult trip to face Sheffield Wednesday as they look to address their poor run of away form.

Forest have not won on the road since Martin O'Neill took the reins at the City Ground in January. In fact, they have not sealed an away victory since a 2-0 success over Hull in November.

This concerning run continued on Saturday when O'Neill's side fell to a 2-1 defeat away to relegation strugglers Rotherham.

After the game, O'Neill addressed the club's away form when speaking to Nottinghamshire Live: "I am going to say this: I have to rectify that and I will. I think I know the players now, after 13 games. I think I know, as well as our supporters would know.

I think I know how to put it right and it might take a little bit of time, but I will get there. I will get there. If I get there, the team will get there as well.”

Forest now travel to Hillsborough on Tuesday night, with victory of paramount importance if they are to maintain their play-off chase.

A win could move ninth-placed Forest to within touching distance of the top six despite their patchy form.

But it appears Forest fans have varied levels of optimism ahead of their clash with Wednesday, who sit just one point below them in the table.
