It's safe to say that it's not been the ideal start for Phil Parkinson at the Stadium of Light with Sunderland.

The Black Cats are currently sat 11th in the League One table, and face a real battle on their hands if they're to stand any chance of firing themselves into promotion contention.

A number of players have struggled to hit the expectation set for them at the start of the season, which is evident as they struggle to find any sort of consistency in their results.

Parkinson has recently revealed that the club have told Aiden McGeady has been told he can leave Sunderland in the January transfer window, which comes after a report from the Sunderland Echo claiming that the Irishman was involved in an incident at the club's training ground in the lead up to their game against Blackpool this weekend.

One Sunderland supporter asked the bold question as to whether Parkinson would be dismissed before McGeady potentially left the club in January.

Alan Blackwell: "Parkinson will be there till end of season at least. McGeady will be gone in January."

Craig Newby: "I think it’s wage based and we can’t afford him offered him a way out and he’s took it."

Gary Forsyth: "Would love that but can't see it happening before February unfortunately."

Paul Loy: "Don't tease me like that."

Daryl Harris: "No chance unfortunately."

Bob Langley: "No way. McGeady gone."

Ellie McQueen: "Fingers crossed!"

Shane Cullen: "He won't be gone till February. They are giving him the transfer window to see how he gets on."
