Swansea boss Steve Cooper believes his side can still reach the play-offs if they display togetherness during the remaining 14 matches of the campaign.

Cooper was speaking after his side were held to a goalless draw by an out-of-form QPR side on Tuesday evening, and it was the visiting Hoops who looked most likely to seal three points as Swansea failed to record a shot on target during the clash.

The result means that Swansea are now sitting 10th in the Championship table and six points adrift of the play-off zone, which means there can no longer be any margin for error as the Swans prepare for a trip to Hull on Friday night.

Speaking to the club website, Cooper has claimed the South Wales outfit can still mount a push for the top six throughout the remainder of the season, but he suggested the club's togetherness will be vital to any promotion bid.

"If we want to get over that dotted line and get in the play-offs, we all need to stick together and support each other," Cooper said.

"I'll be saying the same to the players, to myself and to the staff - be strong, support each other, demand more of each other and go for it."

"We need to go for this. If you can go for things being together, you give yourself a better chance.”

Plenty of Swansea supporters responded to Cooper's comments by suggesting there is not much chance of them reaching the play-offs this term, while others suggested the Swans' performances need to chance before promotion can be considered.
