‘No Cardiff City or Morrison mention’ – Championship fans react to EFL reveal

The nominees are in for the best player in April after a pivotal month at the top and bottom of the table.

Certain clubs had their fates sealed in April with Wolves achieving promotion to the Premier League while Sunderland suffered the disappointment of back-to-back relegations.

It was also important for the play-off places with huge fluctuations over the period which have left Fulham, Aston Villa, Middlesbrough and Derby in there, although that could still change significantly with Villa the only confirmed team that can’t move up or down.

Two of the relegation places are still undecided as well with Burton, Bolton, Barnsley, Birmingham City and Reading all still at risk.

Daniel Ayala, Lewis Grabban, Harry Wilson and Aleksandar Mitrovic are the players nominated for the Player of the Month. Wilson has helped Hull avoid relegation while the others have helped their teams push for either an automatic promotion or a play-off spot.
