Striker Stuart Beavon made his loan switch permanent from Preston North-End to Burton Albion last week and says it was a ‘no brainer’.

The 30 year old made a fantastic impact with the Brewers and has now joined the club on a three year contract, even though he has dropped down a league, he believes he has made the right decision.

When asked from the Burton Mail about dropping down a League, Beavon replied ”At first it was a case of do I want to drop down a league, but I have joined a club that is going places, pushing and wants to be in League One. After the start we’ve had, there’s no reason why not.”

‘At my age of 30, to be offered a three-year contract at  place like Burton, it was a no-brainer really”. added Beavon.

Beavon who has had previous spells at Didcot Town, Weymouth, and Wycombe before Preston in 2012, didn’t expect after two months of joining the Brewers on loan, to be offered to stay for three years.

”I’m glad to get things sorted and now I can kick on. I didn’t expect anything to start with. I spoke to the gaffer, things were sorted out and I came on loan. It wasn’t long and and a permanent deal was mentioned and things moved from there.” said Beavon.
