A number of Preston fans have been reacting to the latest comments from defender Sepp van den Berg revealing that he would be open to returning to Deepdale in the summer.

Van den Berg arrived at Preston in January on loan from Liverpool as part of the group of signings who were brought in to try and offset the departures of the likes of Ben Davies and Ben Pearson. Whilst the Lilywhites’ form has been far from impressive since the winter window, the defender has managed to perform well.

The 19-year-old has managed to make 12 appearances for the Lilywhites in the Championship so far, and he has helped Preston record four clean sheets during that time. The defender has shown his quality by managing to average 1.9 interceptions, two tackles and 1.8 clearances per game. While he has also been winning 4.8 duels per match so far (Sofascore).

He said: “I would love to come back (if there is the chance). It’s an easy answer for me, I love it here.”

Many Preston fans hailed Van Den Berg’s message and urged the Lilywhites to secure another loan move for him in the summer transfer window.
