Sheffield Wednesday manager Steve Bruce will be working hard this summer to stamp his own mark on his Owls squad, with a view to mounting a strong top-six challenge in the Championship next season.

One player already on Bruce's radar is former QPR full-back Jake Bidwell, according to Football Insider, who is on his way out of Loftus Road after three years at the club following his release at the end of his contract.

So should Wednesday push hard to seal a deal for Bidwell as soon as possible?

We discuss........

Louie Chandler

"I think they should.

"He is the exact sort of reliable and experienced second-tier player that Steve Bruce loves and that Wednesday need.

"As a free agent, he is an absolute steal and if the Owls don't move for him soon, somebody else will."

George Dagless

"Yes.

"He's a good player and one that would suit the Owls well.

"He offers lot in that full-back role and knows the league too whilst he's not going to cost much either.

"No brainer for me."

Kealan Hughes

"Bidwell is a top Championship full back and I was very surprised that QPR chose not to renew his deal.

"It's important that Bruce gets to bring in his own players so that he can shape the squad to how he sees fit. If he wants Bidwell they should get it over the line.

"Wednesday don't have many full back options currently and I could see Bidwell making the left-back position his own."
