Leeds United have put themselves in a strong position to challenge for promotion to the Premier League this term under Marcelo Bielsa.

The Whites are currently sat third in the Championship table, and are just two points adrift of league leaders West Brom.

It could be an interesting transfer window for Leeds, as they look to make the necessary signings to strengthen their chances of making a long-awaited return to the top-flight.

Some Leeds supporters have recently been discussing Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater, who has rarely featured for the Blues since arriving from Leicester City back in 2017 with one supporter suggesting that Leeds should take a punt on the 29-year-old.

It's recently been reported by The Sun that Chelsea are preparing to cut Drinkwater's loan spell with Burnley short.

It seems highly unlikely that he's going to feature for Frank Lampard's side anytime soon though, with the likes of Mason Mount and N'Golo Kante ahead of him in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.

Plenty of the Elland Road faithful took to Facebook to issue their thoughts on this suggestion from a fellow supporter.

See the best of the reaction below....

Sam Gallagher: "Be alright as back up though. Like behind Phillips, Klich and Forshaw, experienced back up as a former England player."

Tom Denton: "Useless anyway."

Darren Clark: "If he is on a free then why not. Was amazing the year Leicester won the league."

Terry Leahy: "Worst thing he did was move to Chelsea. Killed his career."

Jonathan Coggan: "Question has to be asked as to why they're axing him...."

Peter Duval: "No better than what we have."

Richard Plunkett: "I'm taking nobody commenting read the bit about his £120k wages?"
