Nottingham Forest will be hoping they can hold their nerve in the race for promotion this season under the guidance of Sabri Lamouchi. 

The Reds are currently sat fifth in the Championship table, and will be keen to find some much-needed momentum heading into the conclusion of this year's campaign.

Lamouchi could potentially be tempted to dip into the free agent market to add some depth to his squad heading into a hectic period of the season.

Mak has been capped at senior level for the Slovakian national side on a number of occasions.

He has been without a club since his spell with Turkish club Konyaspor at the end of March, and would certainly be capable of challenging for a starting spot in the Nottingham Forest squad.

Strinic has previously played for a number of clubs at a high level, with the likes of AC Milan and Napoli just some of the clubs on his impressive CV.

Forest could definitely benefit from a strong option to challenge Yuri Ribeiro for his starting spot in the remaining nine games of this year's campaign, and Strinic could be that man.

Carroll has been a free agent since his left Swansea City back in the January transfer window.

The midfielder has played for the likes of Aston Villa and Spurs earlier in his career, and will be hoping he can get his career back on track at the earliest of opportunities.

Mikel was last with Turkish side Trabzonspor until March of this year, before he left the club due to the off-the-field crisis.

He has previously played with Middlesbrough in the Championship and would certainly be a strong addition to the Forest squad in the final nine games of this year's campaign.

Maiga will be a well known player to some fans in English football, having previously played for West Ham United and QPR in the past.

He could be a gamble for Sabri Lamouchi's side, but would provide them with additional depth in wide areas of the pitch.

Tabanou has previously played for Championship side Swansea City, but has been a free agent since a spell with French side Guingamp in the summer of 2019.

The left-back again could be a strong option to challenge for a starting spot for Lamouchi's men for the remainder of the season.

The Ivorian has been capped at senior level for the Ivory Coast, and left Swiss club FC Sion in March 2020.

He has also played for American side New England Revolution, and is a versatile option to have in any squad either in the CDM role or at centre-back.

Doumbia has an impressive CV to his name, having played for the likes of AS Roma and Sporting Lisbon.

The forward could be a useful impact substitute and second choice striker for Sabri Lamouchi to have in his Nottingham Forest squad.

McCormack is a player that plenty of Forest fans will know all about.

He previously played for Nottingham Forest in 2017 whilst also being impressive for Fulham up-front in the Championship earlier in his career. His last spell in football was out on loan with Scottish side Motherwell.

He has been a free agent since he reached the end of his contract with Aston Villa in 2019.
