It's been an impressive season for Tony Mowbray's Blackburn Rovers in the Championship this season.

Rovers currently sit tenth in the league table, and are within three points of the top six in the table with nine games left to play.

With the season currently paused and the summer on the horizon, owners and managers may be looking around and thinking about potential transfers that could strengthen their side.

Shackell's spell with Lincoln City came to an end earlier this year, which didn't come as a surprise after he fell out of favour in the Imps squad.

The defender has previously been with Derby County, and will surely be keen to get back into football at the earliest of opportunities.

Ireland has previously played at the likes of Manchester City and Stoke City, but hasn't been with a club since his spell at Bolton Wanderers came to an end.

His experience could come in handy for Rovers this season in the short-term.

Mikel left Turkish side Trabzonspor in March after raising concerns over the off-the-field crisis.

He has previously played for the likes of Middlesbrough in the Championship, and could be tempted by a short-term deal at Ewood Park when football returns.

Collins is a vastly experienced defender, who spent the majority of his career with West Ham United.

His last spell in football was with Ipswich Town, but he was unable to stop them from being relegated into the third tier of English football.

Mulumbu has previously played for the likes of West Brom and Norwich City in English football, but he's been a free agent when his spell with Scottish giants Celtic came to an end.

Rovers could certainly benefit from having depth in their midfield options, and Mulumbu would be able to challenge for a starting spot in Mowbray's side.

O'Neil has been a useful player to have for a number of teams in England over the years.

The midfielder's most recent spell in football was with struggling Bolton Wanderers, and his experience could come in handy.

Vaughan was released by Notts County at the end of the 2018/19 season, but he could be a useful addition on a short-term deal.

He has previously been capped at senior level for Wales, and made a name for himself at the likes of Blackpool and Nottingham Forest.

Maiga has previously been on the books with West Ham United, but is now a free agent.

The forward's last spell in football was with Thai club Buriram United F.C, and he could be a gamble worth taking.

Gouriye previously played for Danish club Vendsyssel FF, but has been out-of-contract since mid-April.

He has previously played in the Dutch top-flight with the likes of Twente and ADO Den Haag, and he could be a useful option to have in the final nine games of the season.
