Nine players have been released from Stevenage, as the club prepares for the life in the fourth tier. Among the nine is Francis Zoko, the club’s top scorer, the official website reports.
Zoko has found a net 16 times last season but will be looking for a new club alongside with Steve Arnold, Matt Ball, Jordan Burrow, Anthony Furlonge, Michael Thalassitis, Oumare Tounkara, Dani Lopez and Craig Reid.
However, defender Jon Ashton, 31, and goalkeeper Chris Day, 38, have both
signed new deals with the option of a further year.
Also, second-year scholars Rohdell Gordon and Fejiri Okenabirhie have been offered the new deals while all other second-year scholars have been released.
