Bolton Wanderers ran out 3-1 winners over Manchester City's Under-21's side in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday evening.

A brace from Chris O'Grady and a goal from Ali Crawford proved to be enough for the Trotters, as they put themselves in a strong position to qualify for the next stage of the competition.

But the win didn't come without a frustrating injury to add to their problems, with Crawford being stretchered off with a knee injury.

Bolton boss Keith Hill revealed to The Bolton News after the win that the injury was a potentially serious one, that could rule him out of action for the foreseeable future.

The midfielder has made nine appearances for the Trotters this season and has been in good form, having assisted three goals already this term.

Plenty of Bolton fans took to social media to issue their thoughts on Crawford's injury blow.
