Nigel Quashie has sent a message to West Bromwich Albion fans on social media, following the 2-2 draw with Charlton Athletic at the weekend.

The Baggies returned to the top of the Championship table at the weekend, although they are now without a victory in their last five league matches, as they were pegged back twice by Charlton in a thrilling game at The Valley.

Albion twice took the lead through goals from Kenneth Zohore and Hal Robson-Kanu, but they were pegged back on both occasions by their opponents.

West Brom were backed by over 3,000 passionate supporters for the game, many of whom were making their second trip to The Valley in the space of a week, following the FA Cup clash between the two sides seven days earlier.

Following the game, West Brom tweeted a video showing their travelling supporters at The Valley in full voice and former Baggies midfielder Quashie responded, calling the fans 'absolute class'.

The Verdict

Charlton are a good side and they're difficult to beat at home, so even though they didn't win the game, this can still be consider a good point for West Brom.

Slaven Bilic will be disappointed that his side couldn't hold out for the victory, but there are still plenty of positives for the Albion head coach to take away from his side's performances.

Quashie is very popular with the West Brom supporters and I'm sure the Baggies fans will appreciate this message form him. It was brilliant support from them again at the weekend again at the weekend and they've had plenty of reasons to cheer this season.
