Birmingham City will look to get back to winning ways after a short international break, with the small matter of a trip to Villa Park on the horizon.

After going two games without a win, Garry Monk’s men will be looking to secure fifth win in seven league games – a result that could be the biggest victory of Blues’ season thus far.

It’s been a hectic season for the West Midlands side – they got off to a disappointing start having failed to find a win in their opening eight league games, but five wins in seven games rocketed Blues up to 12th in the league.

It’s quite a remarkable turnaround that Monk has achieved, the club were plagued with Financial Fair Play problems at the start of the season and faced a potential points deduction.

Transfer business hasn’t been their strongest point over the last few years, the likes of Greg Stewart arrived at St. Andrew’s with high expectations, but currently finds himself out on loan at Kilmarnock – and goes down as one of Blues’ biggest flops in the last few years.
