With the second international break of the season coming to an end, all eyes will switch back to EFL action, with West Bromwich Albion and Nottingham Forest hoping to cement their place in the Sky Bet Championship automatic promotion spots.

A lot has changed for the latter since the two sides met on the opening day of the season - they are yet to be defeated in the league since their defeat to the Baggies, and sit level on points with Albion at the top of the table.

But Slaven Bilic's side, on the other hand, have gone from strength to strength under the watchful eye of the Croatian - they too have lost only once in the league so far this term, scoring 21 goals and looking more than comfortable in every area of the pitch.

One player who has also come up leaps and bounds since the opening day victory over Forest is Nathan Ferguson, who made his senior debut for the West Midlands club on that day.

His debut was one to remember, producing an assist for Matty Phillips and picking up the Sky Bet Man of the Match award after a hugely impressive performance at right-back - very much a sign of things to come for the Baggies.

Here's how West Brom fans reacted to his debut appearance...

Since the win over the Reds, Ferguson has matured so much as a player for West Brom, and has flourished under the management of Bilic.

The 19-year-old has made a total of 10 appearances for the Baggies this season, starting every single one of their Championship matches bar one.

Ferguson has even moved over to left-back with summer signing Darnell Furlong impressing of late, but he is still undoubtedly a massively important player for the Baggies.

With his contract expiring at the end of the season, Albion are believed to be in talks with Ferguson over a new deal at The Hawthorns, amid reported interest from Crystal Palace.

Tying the youngster down to a new contract would be a tremendous piece of business, as he has so much potential and has a big future ahead of him.
