Fulham are considering a move for Bristol City centre-back Aden Flint as Slavisa Jokanovic looks to bolster his squad after they secured promotion to the Premier League.

The Cottagers saw off Villa at Wembley thanks to a Tom Cairney strike and had to play the final 20 minutes with ten men after Denis Odoi was sent off.

However, they held on to win the game that is dubbed the richest in world football and Jokanovic will now set about spending some of that money to improve his squad.

And, according to HITC, he is interested in Flint, who had an impressive season for the Robins, which included delivering strong performances as they beat Manchester United in the Carabao Cup and ran Manchester City close.

There is no mention of the fee, although Brighton had a £6m bid rejected for the giant centre-back in January so it would surely have to be more than that to tempt Lee Johnson to sell.

Flint played 39 games for Bristol City this season, scoring an very impressive eight goals too.

The Verdict

There's no doubt that Fulham need at least one centre-back this season and Flint's height and aerial prowess would also be much-needed as the Cottagers aren't the biggest side.

He has proven himself to be one of the best defenders outside the top-flight and will surely be open to a move even though he recently signed a new deal at Ashton Gate.

Flint will cost Fulham a reasonable fee but it could be a smart addition as they seek players to help them stay up in the Premier League.
